Are you sick of diet culture's toxic bullshit?

Then you're in the right place, because SAME!

Well, hello there!
I'm so happy to see you.

If any of those sound like your day to day life, you're not alone.

I know that life all too well (cue Taylor Swift) because I lived it, too.

It wasn't particularly fun, but it's all that I knew! The story was so safe and comfortable... until it wasn't. These stories are embedded into all of us at such an early age.

But here's the good news...

  • Spending years on the ever-seductive diet roller coaster, only to end up still hating your body

  • Putting every other person in your life, from your coworker to your kid to the Target cashier, before yourself

  • Avoiding going on a date or getting headshots taken or asking for a raise until you lose those last five pounds

If you've landed here, I'm guessing you are ready for a new body story.

Chances are you are SO OVER :

You get to rewrite your story.
And I'm here to help you do it.

I'm READY! take me to the workshops & courses

And if you wanna learn more about my approach and the guiding principles that shape this work, keep reading!

Diet culture tells us that if we can just control our portions or exhibit self control over carbs and desserts, we’ll feel better/fit in.

Perfectionism tells us that if we control the outcome of an event or complete a task in a very specific way, we’ll feel whole.

People-pleasing tells us that if we focus on everyone else’s needs first, we’ll feel powerful and needed.

But all of these things have one important thing in common - they will have us trading in true self connection for control.

I believe that once you trade control for connection, the life you've always dreamed about can unfold for you.

When you cultivate self trust, it helps you lead with ease. There becomes a level of soft guidance from within you instead of stressful pushing and constant reaching.

So whether you are just starting on your journey to self-trust and body acceptance, or you are ready to heal your body image and embody your truth, I'm here to guide you on your unique path.

Let's get started, together.

You don't have an issue with self control.

You have an issue with self trust.

Wanna know a little secret that the diet industry doesn't want you to know?

We believe in holding gratitude for the seemingly insignificant goodness in daily life: A sip of coffee, the scent of fresh flowers, the rays of light that glimmer on the water. In the collage of life, it is the tiny elements that create the grander picture. Perspective changes everything.

Issues with self-control tend to stem from issues with self-trust. At the root of self-trust - allowing ourselves to honor our bodies and brains for exactly what they are - is the desire to feel safe. When self-trust is cultivated, it builds a level of confidence that goes beyond circumstances. Self-trust blossoms in the absence of control.

True embodiment comes from honoring our unique energy. We are not meant to constantly push and claw our way through things for some distorted version of success. When you deliberately slow down and lean into rest, you create a ripple effect in your life, where peace becomes your new standard, rather than something to be earned.

We are limitless, we harness the understanding and release the powers that allow us to enjoy life at its fullest, and also appreciate it in its finest simplicities. We understand our worth is not indicative of what we do.

This is a safe and inclusive space, where Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ rights are critical, and we acknowledge the damage inflicted by toxic diet culture, fatphobia, the patriarchy, and systemic racism. We listen to and amplify the voices of marginalized communities and honor that while we may never know what it’s like to hold their truth in our hearts, we hold space and actively choose to do better, always.

There is no hierarchy when it comes to human dignity. We do everything with great respect for each individual in our community. Playing small in life serves no one - Life is not meant to be spent trying to fit into a mold that was never meant for you. Compassion breeds expansion.

we all deserve to take up space

When we release the desire to make our bodies smaller, we reclaim the ability to know true joy, regardless of size. This also applies to the duality we strive for in life, where things can be both beautiful and heavy.
We stand for acknowledgment and acceptance over toxic positivity or spiritual bypassing.
In here, we feel it all.

happy and healthy are not mutually exclusive

We live in a non-binary world, there are a lot more “rights” than one. We live in the gray, transcend dichotomies and stereotypes, and understand we can hold multiple truths. Life is a collaborative process.

We have all been dealt a different hand in life. While our traumas and pain are often not our fault, our healing is our responsibility. Nobody else can do the work for us. The more we understand our individuality, the more we are able to recognize the need for each person to go through their own process. Healing is not linear. We are committed to continually healing and progressing.

Life is too short to deal with other people’s lies or bullshit. We believe that a steady practice of honesty leads to vulnerability. And there is immense strength in being vulnerable. When we hold ourselves to a higher standard, we hold others to that standard as well.

We believe in deep, communal dialogue. The “art” of conversation is embedded in the nuance brought to every discussion. No two people are alike, which is why this deliberate approach to complex topics helps us elevate our understanding and compassion.

We hold the power as creative visionaries who are conscientious and mindful of the details it takes to get there. We believe perspective is key, and we attempt to approach ideas in a multi-faceted way.

Guiding Principles

I've never traveled outside of the country, but my life goal is to move to a loft in NYC and spend the winters abroad, soaking up the culture and strolling cobblestone streets like a local. Manifesting that shit every day!

My beverage of choice in the morning is a triple venti soy hazelnut latte from Starbucks (or a vanilla oat milk latte if I'm making it at home.) In the evening? Most likely a glass of white wine or a fancy gin cocktail.

4

Quoting TV shows is my love language. I'm obsessed with Schitt's Creek, Gilmore Girls, Sex & the City, just to name a few. And if you ever need a useless fun fact about a 90's teen drama, I'm your gal.

3

I majored in Theatre in college and studied Directing.
Seeing live theatre is one of my favorite things to do.
I also work at a non-profit performing arts center in DC when I'm not coaching!

I'm a Pisces Sun / Libra Moon / Pisces Rising - INFJ - 6/2 Splenic Projector - Enneagram 4. And I LOVE nerding out about astrology, Human Design, etc.
